This is Steve from for Idea Factory Japan. I was made aware of this message board from a post I made on the Tokyopop website. As you may be aware we have been seriously thinking about translating and releasing our otome games abroad for some time now. I've personally been involved with contacting communities like yours and getting feedback from the fans as to what kind of game would stand the best chance of success with a US release.
It is often said for example that foreign gamers do not like graphic novel style games unless they are made more interactive and are more gameplay focused. Consequently we are considering making changes to our ADV games to accomodate this. A question I have for you all is What for you are the most important elements in a date simulation style game? For example, is it the story, characters design, artwork, gameplay interaction e.t.c e.t.c.
I`d love to hear some input from you on this thread I promise I won't just churn out an automated response like Konami
